CAR DRIVER INJURED
COLLISION WITH TRAM CAR PASSENGERS ESCAPE LIGHTLY Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. A terrific crash between a motorcar driven by Mr. William Roy Hill, and a tramcar, occurred in Molesworth Street, Wellington, last night. Hill, who lives at Pitt Street, Wadestown, was accompanied by two women passengers and was proceeding up Molesworth Street from the town when his car came into collision with the tram, which was going in the other direction. The impact was violent, the motor-car being badly smashed and the running-board torn off the tram. Hill was found to be suffering from a compound fracture of the skull and wounds to the face. He was unconscious. His companions received minor cuts and suffered from shock alone. Shortly after midnight Hill was semi-conscious, but his condition is not regarded as serious. ....
