FIREMAN ACQUITTED

THEFTS AT FIRES ALLEGED Press Association WELLINGTON, Wednesday. A member of the Wellington Fire Brigade, James William Stewart, was found not guilty in the Supreme Court today on charges of stealing from fires a camera and a diamond ring. After being out for four and aquarter hours the jury returned to say that they could not agree. The Chief Justice, the Hon. M. Myers, suggested that they should retire again. When they returned an hour later it was with a verdict of not guilty, and accused was discharged.
