CHORAL SOCIETY

“MARITANA” TOMORROW The melodious opera. “Maritana,” has been selected by the Auckland Choral Society to open the 1929 season. It will be presented in the Town Hall tomorrow evening with full chorus and orchestra. The soloists will bo Aiiss Kate Campion, soprano; Miss M. Cleague, contralto; Mr. Arthur Ripley, tenor (in place of Mr. Lambert Harvey, who is indisposed): Air. Geoff. Colledge, baritone, and Mr. E. Thomas, bass. . The whole performance, usual, will be under the baton of Mr. Colin Muston, L.R.A.M., with Miss Edith Whitelaw leading the orchestra. The box plans are now open at Strong’s Box Office, Queen Street, where applications lor subscriptions ma yalso be made. Tickets will be obtainable at the doors tomorrowevening.
