Sir Joseph Ward To Visit Auckland
CIVIC WELCOME PLANNED SPEECH AT TOWN HALL Advice Has been received by the Mayor of Auckland, Mr. G. Baildon that the Prime Minister, Sir Jos' eph Ward, will pay an official vis r to Auckland on May 27. This will be his first official appearance here since the assumption *of power by the United Government. The city will accord S:.r Joseph civic welcome and in the evening he will address a public meeting in° rh* Town Hall. Sir Joseph Ward arrived in Dunedin yesterday morning from Christ” church. During the day he received deputations and in the evening w as tendered a reception by Southern branches of the United Party. Todav he leaves for Invercargill, and will pass through Dunedin again on Saturdav nn his return to Wellington.
