WESTMORELAND AT PANAMA.— The Federal Line steamer Westmoreland, which sailed from Dunedin for London, Avonmoutli, Glasgow and Liverpool on April 14, is reported to have reached Panama last Friday. KIA ORA LEAVES LONDON. —Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that the Kia Ora left London last Friday afternoon with general cargo to discharge at Dunedin, Bluff, Lyttelton and Nelson. She is due at Dunedin on June 16. HURUNUI LEAVES LONDON. —Cabled nows has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Hurunui left London on May 10 with general cargo to discharge at Suva, Auckland, Wellington and New Plymouth. The vessel is due at Auckland on June 24. REMUERA REPORTS.— The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Remuera, which was scheduled to reach Wellington from London and Southampton on Friday, has reported by wireless that she will not arrive until six o’clock next Monday morning. In addition to passengers and mail for New Zealand, the vessel has general merchandise for discharge at Wellington, Napier and Auckland.

MELBOURNE PASSENGER SERVICE. —The Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Manuka is scheduled to leave Melbourne for Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin and Bluff: today. The vessel is due at Wellington next Sunday, and she is to clear Bluff for Melbourne on May RUAHINE NEAR SOUTHAMPTON.— The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cable that a wireless message has been received in London from the Ruahine, en route from Wellington, reporting that the vessel will arrive at Southampton at midnight tomorrow. The Ruahine left Wellington on April 4. MAI MOA CLEARS PANAMA.—CabIe advice has been received by A. S. The Federal Line steamer Cambridge left Port Chalmers yesterday for Lyttelton, Wellington. Napier, and Auckland, to continue loading for New York, Boston, Avonmouth, Glasgow, and Liverpool. She is to be despatched from Auckland for New York on June 4. The New Zealand Shipping Company are the local agents. TOFU A RETURNS.—ShortIy before 12.b0 o’clock this afternoon the Union Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua returned to Auckland from Suva. Later the vessel berthed at the Queen’s wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The Tofua is scheduled to leave Auckland at 11 a.m. next Saturday on her return trip to Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. KAWAU ABANDONS TRIP.—On account of the heavy weather conditions, the Northern Steamship Company decided to cancel the KawafTs trip to Kawau, Leigh, and Mangawai, scheduled for noon today. At 10 a.m. tomorrow the vessel is to be dispatched for Kawau, Leigh, and Big Omaha, weather permitting. FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE,— Jbe Tahiti, from Wellington, arrived at Sydney on Saturday morning and leaves Sydney at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Mav 16, for San 3* rancisco, via Wellington, Rarotonga and Papeete. The Makura arrived at San Francisco at S a.m. on Friday last. She leaves Sa:i Francisco at 2 p.m. tomorrow for Sydney via Papeete, Rarotonga and Wellington. TARANAKI AT BLUFF.—The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company’s motor-ship Taranaki arrived at Bluff this morning from Sydney to commence loading for Home. Shi subsequently loads at Port Chalmer% Timaru. Lyttelton, Wellington, Gisborne, and Auckland. She is expected here on June 8, and three days later sails for London, via Panama. L. D Nathan and Co. will act as the locai agent. VANCOUVER MAIL SERVICE. The Niagara, from Vancouver for Sydney via Honolulu. Suva and Auckland, left Honolulu on May s, is due at Auckland on May 20, and will sail again at 4 p.m. the following day for Sydney. The Aorangi from Sydney for Vancouver via Auckland, Suva and Honolulu, left Suva at 4 p.m. on Friday last, and is due at Vancouver on Mav 24. She leaves on the return voyagd on May 29. AORANGI FOR OVERHAUL.—The Union Company’s steamer Maheno. which is relieving in the Wellington-Lyttelton ferry service, will afterwards relieve the Maunganui in the intercolonial service. The Maheno is timed to leave Welligton for Sydney on June 21. The Maunganui will then transfer into the San Francisco mail service in place of the Makura, which is to take up the Vancouver service while the Aorangi is withdrawn for overhaul. The Maunganui will leave Sydney on June 13 and Wellington on June 18 for San Francisco.; The Aorangi will withdraw when she reaches Sydney from Vancouver on June 22. In her place the Makura will be despatched from Sydney on June 27 and from Auckland on July 2 for Vancouver. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE.— The Waitemata left Levuka on April 24 for Vancouver, where she is due tomorrow, and proceeds thence to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. Tlie Waihemo left Apia on Mav G for Vancouver, where it is due on Saturday, May 25. and proceeds thence to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Napier, Lvttelton, Dunedin. New Plymouth and Bluff. The Hauraki left Wellington yesterday for Melbourne and Adelaide, and proceeds thence to Vancouver direct. The Waiotapu left Lyttelton on May 8 for Melbourne and Sydney, and proceeds thence to Vancouver, via Fanning Island. The Wairuna. from Auckland, arrived at Napier at 6.30 a.m. on Saturday, clears Napier on Friday, May 17. for Lyttelton; Dunedin. Bluff and New* Plymouth. The Waikawa left Los Angeles on May 6. is due at Apia on Thursday, May 23, thence to Melbourne and Sydney, and returns to Vancouver direct.
