TRAMCAR CATCHES FIRE
A fault in one of the motors caused a fire which slightly damaged a tramcar about 6 o’clock on Saturday evening. The car was at the intersection of Upper Queen Street and Karangahape Road when the fire was noticed, and the City Fire Brigade was quickly on the scene, putting the flames out before the woodwork of the car was damaged, so that it was able to continue its journey, — —
