ONEHUNGA ELECTION

CANDIDATES DISPLACED

MR. SPEIGHT DEFEATED

During the official count of the Onehunga voting papers yesterday, an error was discovered in the preliminary count in which 31 r. K. G. Speight was credited with a majority over Mr. P. R. Lip=combe, making the latter the only unsuccessful candidate..

The rectification now gives 3lr. Lipscomb* a majority of 53 votes over 31 r. Speight, which means that he is elected instead of Mr. Speight, as formerly anotinced.

The official count for the Mayoralty leaves Mr. EL Morion s, majority practically unchanged.
