EXPORT OF APPLES

FREE MARKETING CEASES BOARD RESUMES CONTROL (Special to THE SUN) WELLINGTON, Monday. The New Zealand Fruit Export Control Board to-day resumed contro.' of the distribution and marketing of apples overseas. The Full Court decided in March that the board had not advertised in the Gazette its intentions to resume control, and consequently growers had freedom in respect to the marketing of their fruit until such time as the requirements of the Act were complied with. The board then took steps to meet the requirements of the Act. The 30 days’ period during which control was ineffective expired to-day and the board resumed control.
