DIXIELAND CABARET
AIR PAGEANT NIGHT The prizes Avon at the Air Pageant to-morrow afternoon will be presented at a special Air Pageant Ball at Dixieland Cabaret in the evening. Officials of the Auckland Aero Club, and visiting pilots taking part in the pageant, will be the guests of the management. Dancing will be enjoyed until midnight to music by the Dixieland Dance Band. No less than 16 stage and screen celebrities made their talking picture debuts when Norma Shearer’s starring vehicle, “The Trial of Mary Dugan,” went into production at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios. Bayard Veil]er, authoi'-producer of the sensational stage hit, is personally directing, and the cast includes Dewis Stone, TT. 33. Warner, Raymond Hackett, hi Ivan Tashman. Olive Toll, Adrienne d’Ambricourt, Mary Doran. Dewitt Jennings, Wilfred Xorth. Danders Stevens. Myra Hampton, Wescott Clarke, Charles Moore and Claude Allister. Xancv Carroll appears as a chorus girl on Broadway in the Paramount sound picture. “Manhattan Cocktail.” She will sins a number of songs during the picture. Others in important roles are Richard Arlen, Paul Lukas and Lilyan Tashman.
