FIRE AT TE KUITI (Special to THE SUN) TE KUITI, To - day. A two-storey house at Te Kuiti, owned by Mr. J. Gardner, was burned down by a fire which started at about three o’clock on Thursday morning. Mrs. Gardner was awakened by the noise of the fire and the smoke, and quickly aroused her husband and son. Her husband tried to get the fire under control, but it had gained too strong a hold, and he was compelled to leave it. The family could save nothing except some clothes, and a little furniture. Mr. Gardner’s loss is heavy so far as the contents of the house are concerned. The building itself was # insured for £4oo*
