Council: Seventeen nominations for nine seats. Messrs. I’. Tulloch and J. D. Wilson have been returned unopposed for the Hospital Board and Power Board respectively. TIMARU Three nominations were received for the Timuru Mayoralty, those of Messrs. William Analund, A. Lawrence Gee and P. C. Yinnell. For tiie council there are 11 nominauona for nine seats. INVERCARGILL Messrs. John Miller, the present Mayor, and John Daniel Campbell, for four years a councillor, have been nommf ted for the Mayoralty. There are 16 nominations for 12 vacancies on the council. GORE Mayor; Messrs. A. A. Mac Gibbon, W. D. Shelton, D. L. Popplewell, A. T. Newman. Sixteen candidates are offering for l- seats on the borough council. There are three nominations for the one seat on the Southland Power Board, and two for the seat on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. Mr. A. H. Aitken has been returned Unopposed to the Bluff Harbour Board.
