WORK FOR THE HOSPITAL MR. CASEMENT AICKIN In liis report to the board yesterj day. Dr. C. E. Maguire, the medical j superintendent, referred to the retirei ment of Mr. Casement Aickin from the | honorary surgeons’ staff. The super- | intendent said the hospital, had lost the i services of a surgeon who had won a I great reputation in the community, ancl ! who had been connected with the hospital for over 20 years. Mr. W. Wallace, chairman of the board, said . that both the public at large and the board owed a debt of gratitude to Mr. Aickin. He was a most unassuming man who had never been mixed up in the trouble with the honorary staff. Mr. Wallace understood he had retired for health reasons. He had seen him after a day in the operating theatre completely done up. On Mr. Wallace’s motion it was decided to send a letter of thanks to Mr. Aickin for his services, and appoint him to the honorary consulting staff, j
