MINOR MOTOR MISHAPS
SERIES AT TAURANGA (From Our Own Correspondent) TAURANGA, Tuesday. A number of accidents occurred in Taurangu on Saturday. At 11 p.m. Mr. Thompson was rid- , ing a mo tor-bicycle with Mrs. Thompson riding pillion, when he ran into a bicycle ridden by Mr. N. Ward. All became unconscious. Mr. Ward soon recovered and proceeded to his home. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson were more seriously injured and were conveyed to the hospital. Mr. R. H. Phelan lost a wheel off his car, with the result that the car ran into a ditch. Mrs. Phelan and their son and daughter, who were also in the car, suffered from shock, but escaped serious injury. The Gate Pa bus stopped to pick up a passenger, when a car driven by Mr. P. Gray ran into it from behind. The radiator and lamps of the car were smashed, but no injury was done to the occupants.
