When sweeping carpets, first wet the broom and thoroughly shake out the water. The dust will then collect in the broom, which can be washed after the work is done. Keep in the machine drawer an ordinary paste brush on a long handle. This will penetrate crevices and corners without pulling the machine to pieces. After brushing it dr3*. drop a little oil on the brush, and ■ repeat the process.
