Crumble into these ingredients 3oz of butter until the mixture looks like fine bread crumbs. Beat one egg and moisten the whole to a very stiff paste , using, if necessary, a few drops of milk. Turn out and knead, then roll out thinly. Cut into long fingers about fo'ur inches long and an inch and a-half broad. Place in a greased oven tin, stamp in the -middle with a biscuit stamp or fork. Bake until a pale yellow colour.
