“FORGOTTEN FACES” An excellent double-feature programme is now at the Rialto and Re- i gent (Epsom j Theatres. The main ! picture on the programme was “For- ? gotten Faces,” featuring Clive Brook j and Olga Baclanova, a dramatic film t full of human interest. Brook, a daring gentleman thief, when holding up ; a gambling house, narrowly escapes the j police, and on returning to his home , discovers his wife’s infidelity. He kills j her lover, takes his baby daughter and ! joins his partner, “Froggy.” He knows ! that the police will soon be on his trail, so he decides to leave the baby j on the steps of a wealthy man’s house, j Froggy promises to watch over her. { and Brook gives himself up to the ' police. Throughout the years in gaol i Brook is kept in touch with his little daughter by means of photos snapped ! by the faithful Froggy. In this way ; ho sees her grow from babyhood to j womanhood without being able to see i her in the flesh. By a ruse the un- i faithful wife learns what has become j of her daughter, and she visits the i prison to taunt her husband.
