AMALTHUS WITH OlL.—The British Imperial Oil Company’s tanker Amalthus is due at Wellington to-day from Singapore with a cargo of oil. PORT DARWIN EN ROUTE.—Cabled news has been received by the C. and D. Line that the Port Darwin left Port Kambla at midnight on Saturday for Bluff, where she is due on Thursday to commence loading for New York, Boston, Halifax and London. REMUERA LEAVES HOME.—Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that their liner Remuera, after loading at London, left Southampton on Friday for Wellington, Napier and Auckland. The vessel is due at Wellington on May 17. SUSSEX FROM THE EAST.—The Union Company has been notified by cable that the Sussex, en route from Calcutta, left Rangoon last Thursday for Penang, where she was due yesterday. The vessel is now expected to arrive at Auckland on May 15. MAUI POMARE SAlLS.—After being delayed at Auckland over a week, the (Government motor-slop Maui Pomare was dispatched last evening for Niue Island and Apia, Samoa. The following passengers sailed by the vessel:— Saloon. —Mr. and Mrs. Grainger, Mr. Hoverd, Mr. Pearce, Mr. Paine, Mr. Hendry, Miss Lander. Miss TTanagan. Mr. and Mrs. Scott and child, Mr. and Mrs. Calverlev. Mrs. Sissons, Miss Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clinkard and two children, and 11 members of Samoan constabulary. BROCKABECK FROM RIVER PLATE —With a cargo of linseed for discharge at Auckland and Sydney, the steamer Brockabeck arrived in the stream at Auckland last evening from the River Plate, and berthed this morning at the King’s Wharf. The vessel left Santa Fe on February 15 and called at Montevideo two days later for bunkers. Montevideo was left on February 20 and the Brockabeck next called at Coronel, where she arrived on March 10. Further bunkers were taken on hoard at. Coronel and the vessel left there on March 12 for Auckland. Moderate weather was experienced throughout the trip. On Mareh 28 and on April 8 the vessel had to stop as her boilers were salting up through the use of salt water. The Brockabeck took 5Si days for the run from Santa Fe to Auckland. Captain J. Harrison is in command of the Brockabeck and has the following officers with him:—Chief, Mr. J. J. Hodgman; second, Mr. A. Puckering; wireless operator, Mr. W. Bamford; chief engineer, Mr. J. H. Clncas; second. Mr. G. Lumsden; third. Mr. T. A. Sanderson; fourth. Mr. W. Carr; chief steward. Mr. W. Jackson. , , . While in Auckland the Brockabeck is to have her boilers scaled and cleaned. Mr. G. Wallace Bews is the local agent for the vessel. TOFU A RETURNS.—The Union Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua returned to Auckland yesterday afternoon from the Islands and berthed about 5.15 p.m. at the Queen’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. Except for rain at Vauvau, the Tofua experienced good weather throughout the voyage. The following passengers arrived by the vessel:—

CARGO FRONT SOUTH AUSTRALIA. —The local .office of the Union Company advises that the cargo steamer Kaponga has been fixed to load at Adelaide and Melbourne early in May for Lyttelton and Auckland. CANADIAN WINNER SAILING.—The local office of the Canadiau National Steamships advises that the Canadian Winner is to be dispatched this afternoon for New York, Boston and Montreal, via Panama. AORANGI DUE SUNDAY.—Due at Auckland on Sunday afternoon, from Vancouver and way ports, the local office of the Union Company advises that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi sails at 10 p.m. on Monday, April 22, for Sydney. HAURAKI COMING. —Cable advice has been received by the local office of the Union Company that the motor-ship Hauraki left Dos Angeles last Wednesday with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne. Adelaide, and Sydney. She is due here on May 3. PORT CURTIS DELAYED.—The C. and D. steamer Port Curtis arrived at Lyttelton on* Saturday afternoon from Tnnaru, after being delayed by fog. She will next proceed to Wellington, and is due there on Thursday morning to fill up. The vessel will sail from Wellington about the end of this week for London, via Montevideo. ROTORUA REPORTS.—According to a radio message receiv ed by the local office ot the . New Zealand Shipping Company, the liner Rotorua is expected to arrive at Auckland next Tuesday evening from London and Southampton. The vessel has passengers and mails for disembarkation at Auckland, and cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, and New Plymouth. AELYBRYN LEAVES WANGANUI.— Advice has been received by Henderson and Maefarlarne that the steamer Aelybryn left Wanganui this morning ior Westport for bunkers, thence she proceeds to Auckland, where she is due on April 22 for docking, to have her hull cleaned and painted. The following day the vessel sails for the island to load phosphates for New Zealand or Australia. ULIMAROA IN PORT.—The Ulimaroa arrived in the stream at Auckland this morning shortly after ten o'clock, and later berthed at the Central Wharf. The Regulus is due at Onehuijga tomorrow to load for Picton, Nelson and West Coast ports. .The Hokianga is to be dispatched for Plokianga at noon to-morrow. The Rarawa is due from New Plvmouth at 7.30 a.m. to-morrow, and sails for that port again at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
