DYSENTERY CASES

PRECAUTIONS AT HOSPITAL X>ECAUSE of the prevalence of dysentery in Auckland the authorities of the Auckland Hospital have closed the children’s wards to visitors. This action has been taken to minimise the risk of infection. Medical men, including the officers of the Health Department, are satisfied that there are many cases of dysentery not reported over and above the 13 city cases notified up to April 2. The disease in mild form is apt to be confused with minor stomach trouble.
