(From Our Own Correspondent) Mrs. A. R. Valder, of Whangarei, is the guest of Mrs. H. Yalder, "Ldingthorpe,” Hamilton. Mi's. T. L. Pearson, of Sydney, is visiting friends in Hamilton. Miss Kennedy, of Wellington, v. ho has been the guest of Mrs. G. G. L. Taylor in Cambridge, has returned to the South. Miss Drummond, of Dargaville. is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Harold Baker, in Claudelands. Mrs. A. Burgess, of Wellington, is visiting Mrs. C. Burgess, in Hamilton. i Mrs. Duggan, of Taranaki, has been I visiting her sister, Mrs. W. Pond, in ; Kaurou, and Mrs. W. G. Vernon, in Te Mata. W.C.T.U. GARDEN PARTY. A very successful garden party both from a social and a financial point of view was held on Wednesday at the home of Mrs. J. Baillie, George Street, Hamilton. The organisers were the members of the Hamilton branch ot the W.C.T.LJ. Stalls, afternoon tea, and competitions gave pleasure to the visitors and profit to the helpeiv, Tho hostesses —Mrs. Baillie, Mrs. o. Jones, and Mrs. Davey—were mom solicitous for the guests. A produce stall that found ready buyers was iw charge of Mrs. Uiimour, Mrs. Jackson, and. Mrs. Moore. Games and competitions were organised by Mrs oeai and Mrs. Johnston, and afternoon tea by Mrs. Watson, Mrs. Caldwell, anu Mrs. Bradley. The clock croquet was won by Mrs. Hodgkinson, the zig-zag croquet by Mrs. Johnston, and otner competition were won by Mrs. Hodgkinson, Mrs. Bradley, and Miss Jones. Others present were: Mrs. M. J. Carlyon, Mrs. A. T. Watson, Mrs. H. Robins, Mrs. Quinton, Mrs. Finlay, Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Hodgkinson, Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Beere, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. YV. White, Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. Maisey, Miss M. Jones. Miss Maisey, Miss Ambury, Miss B. Davis, Miss R. Atkinson. Miss M. Vaughan. FINAL OF CAMBRIDGE CROQUET T O U RN AMENT. Last Friday afternoon the members of the Cambridge Croquet Club entertained the visitors to their blaster tournament at a most enjoyable afternoon on their lawns. Dirferent croquet competitions were arranged, and much happy camaraderie prevailed among an. Later, after aiteinoon lea liud been served, the president, Mrs. Hopkirk, presented the prizes won during the tournament, and on that afternoon. Pleasant little speeches were made by Miss G. Brann, the tournament organiser, and by Mrs. Mahoney, of the Remuera Club, who spoke io. the visitors. The prize-winners were: Doubles. Mrs. Clarke and Mrs. Parker-Hill; runners-up, Mrs. Mahoney and Miss liesketh; singles, Mrs. Finch; runnerup, Miss Airey; putting, Miss J. Couper l ; in-and-out competition, Mrs. Lllis. The afternoon competition winners were Mrs. Gallagher, Mrs. Take, and Mrs. Maberiey. Among those present were: Mrs. Hopkirk, Mrs. Mahoney, Mrs. T.
