'Flu Suspected in Mounteds’ Camp

THREE CASES SENT TO HOSPITAL “NO NEED FOR ANXIETY” From Our Oxen Correspondent * PUKEKOHE. To-day. Reports are in circulation that influenza is prevalent at the Auckland Mounted Rifles camp at Waiuku. A SUN reporter investigated the position this morning and found the stories groundless. A few men entered the camp on Monday last suffering from colds and were kept under observation by the medical officer. Lieutenant J. A. W. Robertson and eight trainees wer* evacuated to their homes yesterday. Three of them were suspicious cases and were dispatched to the Auckland Hospital. Only three sick men were in camp this morning out of a total of 300. and the medical officer gave his assurance that there was no need for anxiety.
