UNITED’S SECRETARY
MR. H. A. C. DAVY APPOINTED TO AUCKLAND
SON OF CHAIRMAN Mr. H. A. C. Davy, eldest son of Mr. A. E. Davy, Dominion chairman of the United Party, has been appointed Auckland provincial secretary of the party. DAVY, jun., for some time studied law at the Auckland University College, but the call of politic? finally caused him to discontinue his study, and for a time he has been acting-secretary for the organisation. His youth, literary ability and his speaking powers have earned him a unique position in the United Party, and he is probably the youngest man at present engaged in New Zealand politics.
He acted in a secretarial position for Sir Joseph Ward when the Prime Minister opened his campaign in Auckland.
