AMANULLAH ADVANCES

MARCHING ON KABUL REBEL KING MAKES READY (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) Times Cable LONDON, Monday. The Lahore correspondent of “The Times” says the ex-King Amanullab of Afghanistan is marching upon Kabul. The self-proclaimed King, Bacehasakao, is strengthening the defence* of the capital and enlisting fresh troops. Civil war is expected to break out in a few weeks. All the tribesmen in the region of Kandahar are supporting Amanullah, and many prominent chiefs already have rallied his standard. A former Governor of Jalalabad has just arrived at Peshawar. He says the tribesmen of Eastern Afghanistan are tired of the present chaos and are ready to support Amanullah if they are given an amnesty. Nadir Khan, who was expected to win over a large part of Afghanistan in favour of Amanullah, is reported to have been arrested and his property looted.
