Desiring to preserve the excellent record of a Gisborne hotel licensee, William John Bray, who had conducted hotels for 33 years without being convicted of any offence, the magistrate, Mr. E. C. bevvy, yesterday acceded to counsel’s request to dismiss as trivial a charge of selling liquor after hours.—P.A.
