Australian Tenor's Career

ON WAY TO ENGLAND

An Australian tenor who sang at Dam© Nelli© Melba’s farewell concert at Covent Garden, Mr. Browning Mummery, was a through passenger to Vancouver on the Aorangi this morning. Mr. Mummery and his wife are going to England, where they will resume professional singing. Mr. Mummery had seven years’ singing experience before he was brought out to Australia to appear with the Williamson-Melba Opera Company. In England he has had experience with two well-known opera companies, the British and the International. His career has been remarkable for his perseverance. Mr. Mummery worked his xvay to prominence and was able to sing for four seasons in opera lh the United Kingdom.
