BORG'S APPEARANCES
MATCHED WITH BEST CARNIVAL HANDICAPS Matched, in the 100yds against Arne Borg, world’s champion swimmer, in the Tepid Baths on Monday evening, are five of New Zealand’s best sprinters. Borg is certain to win, although, should I. A. Cameron, of Wellington, New Zealand’s sprint champion, be fully extended, the finish will be interesting. Four Aucklanders in the race will be J. P. Farrell, J. Enwright, R. A. Sellars and R. de Loree.
Borg’s appearance in the. quartermile, in which Gordon Bridson, Enwright and De Lo.ree are placed on not over-lenient marks, will be of great interest.
In the women’s 66 2-3yds, Stockley, New Zealand women’s sprint champion, and Peggy Robertson, intermediate girls’ champion, Avill race off scratch.
