SILENT MUSIC
I have been sitting on the verandah reading poetry. Reading poetry. . . . Only two words, but they mean a great deal, for have 1 not been visiting other spheres and filling my mind with tho beauty of the words that are silent music? —Jean Mclndoe (aged 14). THE DORMOUSE The dormouse gave a party. She Asked fifteen little frogs to tea; I'hey sat all round her in a ring And calmly ate up everything; \ And then they danced in two and threes They really were not hard to please— The dormouse in a corner hid And went to sleep—that’s what she did.
