CHRISTMAS ECHO

BETTY BAKER’S PHOTOGRAPH A young Hollywoodean, Betty Baker, felt that some near-nude pictures taken of her and used by Harold Dean Carsey, photographer, on his personal greeting cards at Christmas, should never have been exhibited. She sued for £20,000. Carsey entered a counter-suit. He said that he photographed only stars and that his business had suffered about £20,000 because he had photographed Betty. The jury took one look at the pictures and decided in Carsey’s favour.
