MRS. HANNAH HORSLEY Mrs. Hannah Horsley, wife of Mr. R F. Horsley, a prominent business man of Wanganui, died yesterday, at the age of 7i. Arriving in New Zealand with her parents in the ship v.'airoea ir. 1876, Mrs Horsley settled in the Half.ombe block at Rangitikei. yhe married in 188 f, and after living n Auckland she went to Wanganui, where she had lived ever since. Mrs. Horn’n-’' is survived by her husband. two sons and three daughters MRS. LOUISA DAWES Well known as a worker for the Victoria League. Mrs. Louisa Dawes, has died at the age of 73. Born at Didsbury, near Manchester, Mrs. Dawes came to New Zealand 45 years ago in the ship Jessie Redmond. During the war Mrs. Dawes did excellent work as a member of the Victoria League. Until her health began to fail she was keenly interested in the Dickens Fellowship, and was an enthusiastic student of literature and journalism. Mrs. Dawes is survived by her husband, one son and one daughter. Another son was killed at Gallipoli. MR. FREDERICK J. GARMSON A well-known resident of Ellersiie, Mr. Frederick J. Garmson, has died at the ago of 74. Coming to New Zealand with his parents in 1867, Mr. Darmson settled at Invercargill. Later be joined the staff of the Newmarket Railway Workshops retiring a few years ago. He was an enthusiastic bowler and was a member of the Carlton Club. Mr. Garmson is survived by his wife ttnd an adult family.
