LYSANDER SHOWS SPEED (Special to THE SUN) WANGANUI, To-day. A special feature of track operations at Wanganui this morning was the brilliant gallop of Lysander over six furlongs on the number one track, which was in good order. from the five furlongs the first furlong took 12 1-5, the quarter 23 4-5 and three furlongs 35 3-5. Lysander was accompanied over the last four by Alloy, but finished well clear. Rapine, with Joy King to assist him over the first four, and Cobham the last four, ran a mile in 1.45 2-5, the fii'st two in 26 2-5, half a mile in 52 3-5, and five in 1.5. Rapine finished on well, but both he and Lysander had lightweights up in their respective essays.
