DARTS NEAR DEAD BODY
SOUTHAMPTON MYSTERY A WOMAN IN THE CASE? (Australian and NiZ. Press Association) LONDON, Saturday. There was a fresh development today in the mystery about Vivian Messiter, who was found dead in a Southi ampton garage. The police discovered j a code among Mr. Messlter’s possesI sions in his apartments. It is believed that with this code he corresponded with a woman in New York, The code was confined to phrases of endearment. Deceased’s trunk alsc contained letters in women’s handwriting bearing neither address noi signature. Another puzzling feature is the discovery of two feathered darts near the body. TheiV* was no trace of a bullet No money was found in deceased's pockets. The police are now seeking a mar who was known to frequent the company of deceased. i Mr. Messiter was born in Somerset For a long time he resided in A meric: or on the Continent.
