TWO CARS COLLIDE

PASSENGERS INJURED NEW LYNN ACCIDENT When two cars collided in the Great North Road near New Lynn yesterday morning, William Archibald Billing, of 6 Mercer Road. Ponsonby, a passenger in one of them, received a fractured jaw and severe head injuries. Mr. Billing was being driven by his sister away from the city, and the collision occurred as they were passing another car. The front of the car was badly smashed, the windscreen was broken. Miss Billing was slightly cut by the glass, so that she had to be admitted to hospital. Mr. Billing was taken to hospital by the *st. John Ambulance, but his condition is not thought to be serious. The other car was driven by Mr. L. .1. Rowe, of Kotare Avenue. Herne Bay. Elis mother, who was in the car with him. was slightly bruised and had to he taken home. The car had the radiator damaged and the windscreen broken.
