EVERYBODY’S
“ALMOST HUMAN” A gutter pup sometimes possesses the possibilities of rising to fine things and attaining great heights. This is shown with startling effect in “Almost Human,” a new De Mille picture production starring Vera Reynolds, which is now at the Everybody’s Theatre. A dog. Pal, played by one of the screen’s most famous dog performers, was born of a mongrel mother and Champion Regent Royal was his father. He was his mother’s dog until she left him ro seek her own fortune. Then he went in search of someone to be his master. Finding a girl who shared some crackers with him, he decided to make her his pal. His adventures with his new companion are dramatically told in "Almost Human.” Kenneth Thomson is. featured in the leading male role. William C. de Mille personally supervised this screen story. "Mother Machree,” the beautiful story oi Irish life and a mother's struggles to bring up her boy as a gentleman, is also being screened. Belle Bennett plays the role of tht Irish mother.
