Hurley and Companions Scour the Continent *

(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 10.48 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. The Australian airman, Captain Frank Hurley, who crashed at Athens while attempting a flight from Australia to England, has with his companions, Moir and Owens, scoured Europe, searching for a suitable plane in which to return to Australia. They were unable to obtain one. Moir and Owens desire to fly back in a D.H. 50 plane.

Captain Hurley is negotiating with a British firm to return to Australia by car and traverse the battlefields, Germany, Switzerland, Central Europe. Turkey, Gallipoli, Iraq, Persia, India, Burmah and the Dutch East Indies, taking films en route. It is propesed to return to England in September and fly back to Australia i* an attempt to beat Mr. Bert Hinkler's record. .
