ROUND THE CAMP FIRE
“I once knew a man,” said Scout No. 1, “who was so economical that he used to cover his ink-well between each dip to prevent loss by evaporation.”
“And I knew a man,” said Scout No. 2, ‘‘who stopped his clock every night to prevent the works wearing while everybody was asleep.” Then up spoke Scout No. 3: “I knew a man who was so mean that he gave up reading the newspapers in the free library in order to save his spectacles.”
