THEATRE WORKERS STRIKE A HOBART PROTEST (United £*.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 11 a.m. HOBART, To-day. The Musicians’ Union has declared blaek the Theatre Royal, where a play headed by Muriel Starr is running. Because the management installed a gramophone in place of the orchestra, the theatre employees ceased work and pickets endeavoured to dissuade .the public from pafonising the show, w'fich, however, continues with volunteer attendants and scene-shifters. The strikers are chagrined by the public's full-house support of tinned music.
