YACHT IN TROUBLE.—The yacht Wairiki, one of the competitors in the annual race to Tauranga, had a bad run on Saturday, twice having her gear carried t away. She eventually made Te Kouma under a staysail on Sunday, but on venturing out again had her gear carried away the second time. A return was made to Te Kouma and the vessel was sailed to Coromandel yesterday. The owner, Mr. S. Rhodes Speight, was on board.
