PERSONAL.—Mr. C. C. Richardson has joined the Kahika as chief engineer, relieving Mr. R. G. Houghton for holiday leave. Mr. W. A. Scott has joined the Tera-wj-yti as engineer, relieving Mr. F. J. Burn for holiday. Mr. D. L. Cullen is now Second engineer of the Kamona, Mr. L. Blomfield, the second engineer, having gone on holiday leave. Mr. C. C. Cleary, second engineer of the Kaiwarra, is on holiday leave, as is also Mr. J. Brown, second engineer of the Kaitoke. HORORATA LEAVES LONDON.-The New eZaland Shipping Company has been notified by cablegram that the Hororata sailed from London last Friday with general cargo to discharge at AVeliington, Auckland and Bluff. She is due at "Wellington on January 29. DEVON LEAVES HALIFAX. —tabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Fe.d eral steamer Devon left Halifax last Friday for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain, en route from Napier, via New York. The vessel sailed from Napier on November 8. LLOYD’S AGENTS.—Lloyd’s agents at Wellington, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line. Ltd., are in receipt of advices that the Commonwealth ancl Dominion Line, Ltd., Sydney, have been appointed Lloyd’s agents at that port, as from next Tuesday. SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Ulimaroa leaves Auckland at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Sydney, where she is due next Tuesday morning. The Maunganui and the Mararaa both clear Sydney to-day, the former vessel for Auckland and the latter for Wellington. Both vessels are due at their arrival ports next Monday. AORANGI DUE SUNDAY.—The local ollice of the Union Company has been advised that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi is due at Suva at 2 o’clock this afternoon from Vancouver via ports, and sails again this evening for Auckland. She is due here on Sunday and is announced to sail again from Auckland at 5 p.m. the following day for Sydney. PORT DENISON SAILS SATURDAY. —Heather, Roberton, Limited, advises that the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Denison leaves Auckland at daylight on Saturday for Gisborne, thence Waikokopu, Wellington, Bluff and Lyttelton to nil up for Home. She is to clear the last-mentioned port on January 22 for via Panama. GEO. H. SCALES CHA RT E RS.—The Leo. H. Scales Company advises that their chartered steamer Pareora left Port Kembla on Friday for Napier, where she is due this morning to commence loading for Dunkirk, London, and Hull. She will leave on Saturday for Wellington, and is due there on Sunday for further loading The vessel is to sail from Wellington tor Timaru and Dunedin, to nil up, and will leave Dunedin about January 8 for Dunkirk, via Panama. 9 he Anglo Chilian is due in New Zealand from Port Kembla to take the Jan-uary-February loading berth for the Kingdom and Continent. The Hauturu returns from Raglan, Kawhia and Port Waikato at six o’clock r>n Saturday morning, and leaves again at noon the same day for Hokianga.
