TROTTING

Sunshower Wins In Fine Weather GOOD TROTTING AT GORE LIBERAL PAYS GOOD PRICE (Special to THE SUN) GORE, Wednesday. Under splendid weather conditions, the Gore Trotting Club held its annual Christmas fixture today, when there was a large attendance to witness the good sport provided. The track was in fine order and some interesting contests were witnessed. That the public was in speculative mood was demonstrated by the fact that £18,414 was put through the totalisator, last year’s figures being £18,916. The Gore Handicap provided a stirring race, Sunshower winning nicely from the back-marker Desert Star, who put up a solid run. The other leg of the double was secured by Liberal, who made no race of the Final Handicap, returning his supporters a remunerative price.
