CHRISTMAS PRANK ON THE ULIMAROA

/CHRISTMAS pranks were rife on 4he Ulimaroa yesterday morning as she steamed into the Auckland Harbour. One of the best concerned 12 men who were sharing the smok-ing-room, which had been converted into berths. They woke to find every left shoe missing. A search failed to disclose the missing footwear, and 12 travellers limped around with “one shoe on and one shoe off.” Later a large Christmas ham, in a pillow, was discovered hanging from the ceiling. The “ham” was composed of the 12 missing shoes.
