DELIGHTFUL
Australian Businessman Praises New Zealand ”1 can think of no more delightful land, to show our children than New Zealand.” This pretty compliment came from Mr. Frederick J. Ludowici, general manager of J. C. Ludowici and Son, Ltd., Sydney, who arrived yesterday on the Ulimaroa with his wife and family to spend a holiday in the Dominion. Mu - . Ludowici is head of one of the largest tanning and belt manufacturing concerns in Australia, whose headquarters are in Sydney. “New Zealand hides are the finest in the world,” he remarked, “and we get a good deal of our supply from you.” He said that business in Australia at the moment was “streaky,” but it showed signs of brightening. Australia, like all other countries, had been suffering from depression, but with the prevailing optimism the depression was quickly disappearing and there was every prospect of a good year ahead. Mr. Ludowici’s brother was one of the Australian representatives who visited the United States to inquire into industrial problems.
