MADMAN RUNS BERSERK

SETS FIRE TO STATION SHOT FIRED AT THE OWNER Reed. Noon. BRISBANE, To-day. A message from Richmond states that the Petersford station was destroyed by fire on Thursday night. The building is allaged to have been set on fire by a well-known resident of the district, who, it is alleged, also fired a shot at Mr. McMillan, the owner of the station, but missed. The man, who is said to be out of his mind, then cleared into the bush with the rifle. A police party is searching. It is feared he may commit suicide.
