Th« most impressive array of forthcoming Paramount Pictures in that organisation’s decade and a-half of motion picture production is comprised in Paramount’s announcement of its Whole Show Programme” for the coming season. This announcement of Paramount’s production plans is made by John W. Hicks, jun., managing director of Paramount Pictures in Australia, New Zealand, and the Far East. The “Whole Show Programme” lists more than 60 feature motion pictures and more than 200 short features, all to be released under the Paramount banner commencing in January ,1929. Two of the biggest pictures of the year will be “The Patriot” and “Abie’s Irish Rose.” “The Patriot” is an Ernest Lubitsch production, starring Emil Jannings, with a cast including Eewia Stone, Florence Vidor, and Neil Hamilton.
