SLUMP AT CANBERRA
HUNDREDS OF IDLE MEN BUSINESS PEOPLE HIT SYDNEY, Sunday. There is a slump in business in the Federal capital, Canberra, and the adjoining town of Queanbeyan. The property boom at Queanbeyan, which had captured most of the business in recent years, has burst, and the business people are left lamenting. At Canberra the hotels and other costly building’s are not earning interest on the outlay expended on them.
