OLD OFFENDER FINED Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. For selling liquor without a licence James Stewart Middleton was to-day fined £4O, in default two months’ imprisonment. Defendant had previously been convicted and fined £3O for a similar offence. The evidence showed that defendant several times sold liquor to a constable from his wife’s shop, in Newtown, and on the shop being raided liquor was found there. On the second charge defendant was convicted and discharged.
