HIGH PRICES HOLD Press association FEILDING, Friday. Prices for fat cattle at the Feilding sale to-day were appreciably above export value. Fat bullocks made up to £l2 ss, and considering the weight and quality this was a high figure. Fat cows ranged from £7 15s to £ll 8s 6d; small heifers, £7 10s; maiden three-year heifers, £9 10s. Dairy stock was in keen demand. Springing heifers made £7 15s to £8; heifers in calf, £lO 10s; springing cows, £7 15s to £lO 2s 6d; cows in milk, £6 5s to £7 2s 6d. Yearling store heifers brought £4 10s to £8 11s; forward cows, £6 10s to £7 2s 6d; steers in good condition, £lO 15s; potting bulls, £9 10s. Butchers are still paying high prices for fat sheep. Black-face two-tooth wethers made up to 32s 8d; others, from £1 7s to £3 11s Id; fat woolly hoggets, 365; fat maiden ewes, 28s Id; older ewes, 21s 9d to 24s 9d; fat shorn wethers, 32s 6d; four-tooth wethers, 23s 6d to 27s 6d; poor store wethers, 17s 6d; others, 25s Sd to 27s lOd; ewes, 17s 8d to 18s.Id.
