“MESSIAH” BY CHORAL SOCIETY

TOWN HALL ON THURSDAY In conformity with its long-estab-lished custom, the Auckland Choral Society will present Handel's “Messiah” at the Town Hall on Thursday, December 13. Mr. Colin Muston, L.R~A.M., will conduct. For this occasion, the Choral Society’s ranks will be augmented by members of the Royal Auckland Male Choir, and the result should be chorus work of excellent quality. The solo parts will be taken by Miss Beryl Smith, contralto. Miss Alma McGruer, soprano, Mr. Birrell O’Malley, tenor, and Mr. Frank Sutherland, bass. Mr. Maugham Barnett will be the soloist.
