MOTOR FATALITY
DEATH FOLLOWS INJURIES ACCIDENT AT ELLERSLIE Half an hour after being admitted to the Auckland Hospital last evening Arthur Binnie, of Ellerslie, died from the injuries he had received through being knocked down by a motor-car. At about 9.15 o’clock last evening Mr. Binnie was knocked down on the city side of the Ellerslie railway bridge by a motor-car driven by Mr. William L. Gage-Brown, of Bracken Avenue, Epsom. Mr. Gage-Brown immediately rushed the injured man to the hospital, as he was suffering from severe head injuries and was severely bvuised. Mr. Binnie was crossing the road at the time of the accident. He stepped out unexpectedly, and before Mr. GageBrown could swerve the car he had knocked the man down. An inquest will be held.
