MISLEADING
£N the Waikato Trotting Club’s t race book for to-morrow, which is compiled on up-to-date and informative lines, an error has crept in that may prove misleading to those who follow the times of recent performers. In the Otahuhu results, thoughtfully included in the card for the guidance of patrons, Laplander’s time for second in two miles is given as 4.29 1-5, which was in reality the time recorded by Free Advice, who was placed first by the Judicial Committee. Laplanders time was 4.31, and as he improved the second day on this to 4.30 2-5 for second, there is no saying but that Holmes’s pacer may not be long in recording the 4.29 1-5 erroneously placed to his credit.
