Gothic at the Stud The announcement that Gothic will be retired to the stud next season has led to many inquiries for liis services, and liis list is now almost full. Among the breede rs who have already booked mares to him are Messrs. Harry Taylor. W. Booth, Ken Austin. J. F. Foster, and 11. F. Martin. Tracery blood is already represented in Australia by Mr. E. J. Watt’s imported sire Doric; Mr. Norman Faikiner’s Ornamentation, the Byndhurst Stud's High Force, Mr, J. F. Hawker’s Dunottar, and Mr. J. J. Bealiy's Archery. Only two of them have representatives to race. Doric is the sire of a winner, Bongway, and Archery, a beautifully bred son of Tracery, and Port Sunlight, by Sunbridge, and therefore, bred on a | similar cross of blood to Gothic, has had but very fed of his progeny to run. but is already represented here by two Randwick winners in Justify, winner of the Adrian Knox Stakes, and True Blood. Messrs. J. E. and C. H. Brien's fine horse. Pantheon, another son of Tracery, has started his stud career this season at Kingsfield with a splendid lot of mares. Psychology, a son of Tracery, imported to New Zealand by Mr. T. 11. Lowry, is the sire of the recent Randwick winner Perception.
