CELEBRATION OF JUBILEE (i>roin Our Own Correspondent) TAURANGA, Thursday. St. Peter's Presbyterian Church having reached its diamond jubilee fittingly celebrated the event On Sunday the Rev. Ivo Bertram. M.A., preached to large congregations both morning and evening. Many old members of the church coming from a long distance. On Tuesday a social was held. The Rev. \Y. Smyth, pastor, presided. There was a very large attendance. Speeches were given by Revs. Ivo Bertram. Hurd. VVarnock and Holloway. A programme of musical items was given. Mr. J. Murdoch gave a short resume of the history of the church, mentioning the various' ministers who had been in charge at different periods. A presentation was made to Mr. J. Murdoch of a diploma for 40 vears’ continuous service in Sunday School work.
